Social Assessment

 Principal Investigators: M.Kaplowitz ,S.G.Witter and G.Habron

This component of the campus watershed initiative will rely on focus groups surveys, and ongoing community advisory panels to assess the values, beliefs and knowledge of various stakeholder groups, including undergraduate and graduate students, administrative personnel, faculty, staff and operations personnel, and citizens of neighboring communities.

This information will assist the project collaborators in setting research priorities, designing effective, targeted education and outreach programs and determining the most appropriate best management practices to implement as part of the overall watershed plan. The collected data will be linked to the information collected in the other project components in order to test various cause and effect relationships and research hypotheses addressing the concerns of the stake holders.
